The lightning has started to flash here in the vicinity of Manchester. No thunder though. We had this last night - lovely lightning show, no thunder, a smidge of rain and it was x10 more humid today than yesterday  |

Thats called a heat storm also known as silent lightning, summer lightning, or dry lightning, is a misnomer used for the faint flashes of lightning on the horizon or other clouds from distant thunderstorms |

Not here yet unfortunately, but I recall being on a balcony in southern Spain in 1992 and watching the most electrifying storm over the coast of Morocco. We drank Blue Label Vodka and shagged like there was no tomorrow   |

We had the most amazing thunder storm over the Solway last night. Striking pylons, houses and causing so much electrical mayhem it was unbelievable. Perfect for storm watchers like me. |

I thought the paparazzi were outside  lol
Just constant flashing for a good hour and loud thunder and then heavy rain all night at least it’s slightly cleared the air here  |

Its cooled down here a bit, but only token rain and some shabby thunder. Still plenty of humidity to clear. Mr Montana, its as hot as you round these parts  |
