Tough question. Bladerunner is the greatest sci fi movie ever made imo. 40 years later and it still looks futuristic.
But I'm compelled to pick a McDonagh movie. Maybe The Guard or Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri...
TL:DR The Guard.
How are you Trans? |

"Blade Runner possibly
Haven't seen yet, on my list of films I've yet to watch.
Heard its epic.
Don't watch the sequel though!!"
I thought the sequel was spectacular. Bladerunner 2049 is an excellent movie, expanding the world and scope of the original in really thought-provoking ways. Missed the power of the Rutger Hauer type character, but superb nonetheless. Got me really interested in what Villeneuve will do with Dune. |

Star Wars A New Hope I was 11 when I went to the pictures to see it and it blew my mind - I immediately went back in the queue and paid to watch it again - I fell in love with cinema after that |

"The secretary "
Loved that film. Even my prudish ex wife Enjoyed it and saw it for what it was - a love story.
Another classic is - The Unbearable Lightness of Being. A young Binoche and Dan Day Lewis. |

I have 2....
Step brothers.. Watched it a thousand times and still makes my ribs hurt.
Blood diamond... Spent a lot of time in Johannesburg a few years ago and it struck a cord with me as the story was truthful, powerful and shocking.
Was recommended to it by my South African brother Tito. A truly amazing man in a fucked up country where life isn't worth a damn.

Over the years I,ve seen so many average films but ok, then the better films again quite a lot in number
but (some) of the ones I,d remember as great would be
The sound of music
Eagles dare
The dam busters
reach for the sky
The last film I enjoyed was 1918 but I,d class that one as a good film. |
