...a swinger?
Do you class yourself as such? It is a swingers site after all. Or has the original definition of the site - and the community - now evolved into a more plural community of people whose interest is “non vanilla” sex?
I don’t view myself as a swinger, more someone whose sexual inquisitiveness is fulfilled by sites like this.
So: swinger or not swinger..? |

I did when my ex and I were on here for years. Now I’m single I don’t feel like a swinger - I feel I’m non vanilla looking for a match. A different phase I guess. For me to swing is to swap and I’ve only got football stickers. |

I’d say no, because other than pairing up with friend(s) to find a threesome, all I’ve really done is had a fairly normal single male’s sex life.
You don’t need to be a swinger to be into kinks and fetishes etc, so I don’t think that qualifies me.
Could I be a swinger? I think yes. It’s something I’d be very interested in exploring in a future relationship, if I feel like having one.  |

No I’m not the classic swinger at all. I’m single and looking for lovers to have great sex with. I believe the definition of ‘swinger’ means different things to different folk today |

I guess it all depends upon what one thinks a swinger is ...
The traditional definition is:
a person who engages in group sex or the swapping of sexual partners.
So .. a couple swapping partners with another couple ... swingers?
Singletons and couples in clubs engaging in group fun ... swingers?
Singletons meeting other singletons for "no strings" fun and free to meet with others for the same .. swingers?
In the traditional sense, the first 2 yes, the latter .. no, this is perhaps more open minded non-vanilla individuals
But then, maybe the traditional view has changed and a swinger is a person who engages in non-vanilla activities
In the long run, does it matter? Or is it just a matter of people using the scene, and this site, for whatever they want to use it for?

The dictionary definition of 'swinger' is:
NOUN
informal
a lively and fashionable person who goes to a lot of social events.
informal
a person who engages in group sex or the swapping of sexual partners.
So yes, by definitions, I'm most definitely a swinger.

I don't really need to classify when looking at myself.
I don't discuss this side of things with my friends much.
Any meets haven't asked me to specify my position.
Answer is, dunno I guess as it's never been necessary to say whether I am a swinger or not. |

Nope.
I liked group sex (and hoping I'll like it again) but I don't consider myself a swinger, not anymore.
If I eventually did open my life up to having a significant other again, I'd leave the scene for a good while before returning, if I returned at all.

I have no idea anymore. I would have said no before as most of the time I've been on here as a single person and I didn't feel like that qualified as swinging. However, I've found a lot of men here say they're all about no-strings, casual encounters and then get very territorial/clingy, which I don't at all. I now think I may actually be, just because I am only interested in swinging between casual encounters of whatever variety without any emotional involvement at all. |
