I love fresh celery sticks with hummus or other taramasalata dips.
Also I like it in a soup: cooked with potatoes in a chicken stock, then blend to a cream and season with pepper, Italian herbs nutmeg, paprika and fresh chopped parsley. |

Mini ...... you will LOVE this. I know I do. Cough ... BTW did you EVER use the soap powder on the dirty pans ? If not stop wasting my time woman ..... Back to celery.
I love celery salt most. I like celery flavourings... it's in stock cubes and everything and people don't realise what a great thing it is for flavour.
Any hooooooo. I like to slice it thin and use it for dips but then the next day it's not fresh enough.
I tried celery soup and it's way too stringy ...... GOD so f'n stringy.
A seive is no good cos jesus I've not enough life left....
THEN!!!!! I was reading the good ole tinternet and I saw a wizard using a spud peeler to take off the back of the celery!!!!!
What a clever bastard. It takes all the string off.......
So .... Day 1 crunchy with dips or in salads. Day 2 delish cooked with cabbage or in a mixed veg.... Day 3 soup the bastard with the veg of your choice..... no more string !!! Just amazing flavour.
Health benefits too ..... Uncooked

"What are your thoughts on celery?
Cruncy delight or terrible punishment food?
I've got some in this weeks veg box..."
Love it.
In salad.
In a fry up.
On its own with salt.
Or the football song which goes:-
Celery celery
If she don’t come
I will tickle her bum
With a lump of celery.
