Ayr

It's a sad loss. What a body of work he's left behind him.

This is a live performance of L'Estasi dell'Oro.

It justifies the use of the word awesome.

I'll have to listen to 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' and then maybe throw in a bit of 'The Mission' and 'Cinema Paradiso' for good measure.

His film scores got me into soundtracks and eased me into a small bit of classical. RIP

The film scores are fabulous.

I tried his chamber music, and that's hard going. Quite mathematical and strident.

Cinema Paradiso and Once Upon a Time in America, both of those film scores get to me, every time.

RIP xx

He was one of the great composers of the 20th century - I had his Pocket Watch Theme from the film 'For a Few Dollars More' as my ringtone for a few years. Such a haunting tune. RIP
