M&S 5 grain crumpets. They'll ruin you for all other crumpets.

I'll have lime marmalade on them, or beans, or pate, or scrambled egg and smoked salmon, or fish paste, or nutella, or smashed banana, or avocado and crispy oversalted bacon, or tinned tomatoes, or... well, pretty much anything.

Haven’t been on for a few weeks, looked at the threads I had commented on, and yet again, I instantly want a crispy crumpet with proper salted butter but I only do my big weekly shop tomorrow so I am crumpetless

"Someone once said on this forum that there is such a thing a a

'crumpet loaf'

Can you imagine such a thing

CRUMPET LOAF! It is a real thing, a wonderful man once told me where to get some and I bought it a "few" times and it's so delicious. Crumpet loaf toasted with cheese and slightly salted good butter and maybe some avocado or a chilli finely chopped. "

Crumpet loaf is amazing. I’d go as far as to say it is better than the real thing from Greenhaulghs. And their potato cakes are just off the scale. Yuuum

"Butter. Lots of it.

I want one now.

Same here, I wasn’t in bed I’d have one lol"

How did I not see this until 2 weeks later?!

The thought of delivering you a buttery crumpet (spoken in a Greg Wallace voice) in bed is very erotic!

How weird, I bought some today after not having any for a while!

Only Warburtons will do! I let them cool down a little before adding butter (otherwise the butter melts straight in and they go soggy), and then a bit of honey.

Delightful little treat.

Also they are good with beans or a poached egg.

You beat me to it. Unmelted butter is just a big no no. Brought up a bit of sick just typing it! Haha

Erm I didn't say I liked unmelted butter lol.

Some has to be melted, but then I like to see some butter on top as well mixed with the honey.

If you have beans then it all just blends in anyway.

Where's Nigella at?
