Wirral

I have some friends who will happily tell me how amazing I am in whatever area I'm feeling is lacking (even when what they're saying is complete bollocks), I have a mum who thinks I'm a complete mentalist but loves me whole-heartedly and will always let me whinge to her and do her best to support me when I'm feeling fragile.

My biggest issue is not a lack of cheerleaders, it's my reluctance to ask for help because I feel that I'm burdening them.

For those times I have a playlist of uplifting music, a collection of readings to meditate on and a seashore right outside my door I can walk along.

Now I've got a Phil Collins ballad earworm for goodness sakes. Unbelievable.

Yo listen up, here's the story

About a little guy that lives in a blue world

And all day and all night and everything he sees is just blue

Like him, inside and outside

Blue his house with a blue little window

And a blue Corvette

And everything is blue for him

And himself and everybody around

'Cause he ain't got nobody to listen

I'm blue da ba dee da ba daa

Da ba dee da ba daa, da ba dee da ba daa, da ba dee da ba daa

Da ba dee da ba daa, da ba dee da ba daa, da ba dee da ba daa

Having a loving partner who is always there for me when I need it is usually the best cure for my sadness. It doesn't work when I am sad due to him going away for a few months so that's why you can see me on fab at 2a.m.

Sometimes I wish I could just switch my brain off for a few hours.

I’m reading a really good book at the moment called Bleaker House. It’s a novel, so a great distraction. It’s a story within a story. The main theme is isolation and separation. It’s actually quite nice reading those feelings for a moment, rather than living them. I would recommend

My work is draining me so much in last few months that books are the last thing I am in the mood for. Thanks for recommendation though. What if you take me to see some sloths? That would make me happy
