Eraserhead's a good shout, avant garde as anything else. Lost Highway by Lynch is just as interesting.

I'll add El Topo to the list, and more recently Beyond The Black Rainbow (by your man who did Mandy), a great 80s retro mindfuck with a top soundtrack.

A Serbian Film.

That's the actual title. Little bit weird.

Oldboy.

I've seen some stuff that most people wouldn't be able to watch but that film fucked my head up for a few days and I'll never watch it again.

I was scrolling down waiting for someone to say this. Most fucked up shit I've ever watched.

Sliding Doors. I just can't get my brain around the concept of one person living two possibly different lives, and how it changes their fate.

Serbian Film is shocking and extreme but I don't think it outdoes Eraserhead, El Topo et al in weird stakes.

"Snowpiercer made me feel sick

I'm going to watch that at the weekend

There's a new series out now, same premise as the film. Just watched the first episode, not bad.

I only really watched the film version for Chris Evans. Really wish I hadn't though.

It Follows is pretty strange as well as being super creepy. It stayed with me for ages - I didn't trust anybody walking behind me for weeks after watching it! "

Really good film that

Love Korean, Chinese, Japanese films for their weirdness.

Probably stems from watching legend of the overfiend as a teenager, tentacles anybody

Somewhere In The Ether…

Slaughtered Vomit Dolls was another rather odd one.

It involved an erotic dancer, satanism and a plethora of puking.

"I’ve forgotten the title, but there where cows in wellington boots in it ... must be well back in the 70s

That’s Top Secret with Val Kilmer, it’s a spoof spy film, a comedy and not weird at all just a bit daft

Thanks for the info, I was about 11 at the time and thought it weird to see cows in wellies "

You sure you were 11 as you are older than me and the film was released in ‘84

I remember watching Stargate at the cinema and thinking "What the hell was that about?" as the end credits started to roll.

I watched Phantom Thread a few days ago and the ending was weird. I also thought "What the bloody hell does she see in him?" at multiple points.
