Is EVERYTHING an englishman achieves worthy of dismissal? How about victories in sport? 1966 a World Cup victory that bought pleasure to a nation. I saw a Bobby Charlton interview where he mentioned the celebration bus passing through Notting Hill and people of all colours hanging out the windows and cheering for them. I bet you some of them were not even born here but they shared the joy of their adopted land. I think it's time that those who have been around longer find things to be proud of...and they are out there! | |||

Could not agree more was over in Lanzarote on a golf holiday with 2 mates met a lovely English couple who were in the apartment next to us we enjoyed their company both with drinks and restaurant's also shared their bed for 8 nights as his wife was a very friendly girl still mail them today | |||

As much as I bash our education system, it could be so much better, it’s the best in the world and a model that many countries aspire to. Same with the NHS, has its flaws, got too big etc but unlike anything elsewhere. Not directly English , but the British Empire. Responsible for so much progress and development - millions and millions of lives are now better because of it. That’s just 3 of the top of my head. Stop whining and accept we are great , but could sill do better. | |||

Oh lol, I slept a good 4 hrs, 13 hrs the night before which wasn't good xx I used to joke that I couldn't operate without my normal 12hrs sleep. People's faces did this
