Rottweiler- Fire’s family has had them for 30 years - great with kids, people and other animals and have a very unwarranted bad reputation. Everybody loves Fire’s latest Rottie. |

"I love labradors."
Oh so do I
They're so sweet natured.
I cant wait to retire or be lucky enough to work part time so I can get one- I can honestly say that is the only relationship I want right now! |

"Rescue. Don’t care about breed, I’d rather give a dog a second chance than worry about what breed.
"
Yes I feel the same way.
I wish I had the time for a dog - but because of my job it would be alone a lot and that just isn't fair.
I would take a rescue dog instead of a puppy. |

Rescue dogs are amazing. All mine have been rescues, some pure breeds and some mongrels.
In all honesty, I think the kennel club has a lot to answer for when it comes to dog breeds, especially breed standards that encourage potentially, and sometimes actual, damaging bone structures and sizes. Look at show regulation German Shepherds for one; have to have a spine that curves down to the haunches. Set up for hip problems.
British bulldogs that pelvises are so deformed the majority have to have c sections to have a litter.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, whose skulls can be too small for their brain.
I could go on but I won’t as I’m a massive dog lover and this gets me wound up |

Cocker Spaniels I had two, but sadly one died last year. I bloody miss her but the surviving one is a wonderful dog and is enjoying having me around more than usual.
Other than Cockers I love Beagles who have such expressive faces. |

"Not my favourite but I am nonetheless fascinated by those Mini Pinschers; They look like their heads have been shrunk in the wash or something.
Curious little buggers."
I’ve had 2. They aren’t yappy dogs but they’re hyper little buggers. |

I think they even dream in hyper mode |

Couple of rescue collies..
One we know his history and had him from 8 weeks the other was abandoned and mistreated, we think she was about 18 weeks when we got her and its been a learning experience but would not be without them both. |

Always used to be a fan of bigger breeds but having met someone with the most adorable Yorkshire terriers I'm now sold on them. Such characterful little things and the most loving things.alas they're both passed(along with the relationship!) But even though they weren't mine I miss them. |

I'd never heard of the latter before, and I used to be obsessed with dogs to the point of identifying them all the time.in the park as a kid!
Thank you, I've learnt something new |

I'm with you on that front.
Even so, I love Shiba Inu because the red-sesame ones look like foxes. My favourite breed as a kidwas Chihuahuas but I don't really care what it is as long as I know I can look after it |

Never heard of this breed before we adopted one a few months ago and she’s a absolute star. |

I had a Rottweiler Alsatian cross. She was nuts. Very intelligent and protective.
She didn’t like foxes, cats, leaves strangers, birds, cars, other dogs. People stroking her.
Loved that dog |
