Do what you feel is right. It protects people from you more than you from them..

There are lots of people who should wear masks, nothing to do with the virus just how they look (myself included)

"yes or no do we ware them or not"

If you're robbing a bank it's probably a good idea.

Glasgowish

We now have face masks at work. They are like the cheapest pantie liners with elastic to hook round your ears.

The advice seems to be changing.

The early advice was no.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the States is now saying yes, although bear in mind that their health system and pandemic looks different to ours.

For most people outside a healthcare setting, they won't protect you, in part because most people don't wear them correctly. However, if you're contagious, wearing them will protect others (as will a scarf).

For me I think it's most important for those most at risk to get masks (healthcare workers, supermarket staff, other essential workers, those with medical vulnerability). So I won't take a mask. If there were truly enough for everyone, I might.

FFP3 masks will protect the user from the minute virus particles however FFP2 and 1 will not. Surgical masks are pointless too as the moisture and water droplets you exhale will create voids for the virus to travel through.

"Wear and pointless unless all orrafices are covered "

Could you define pointless

My inference of pointless would be statistically speaking if some people wore them the infection rate would be exactly the same as if some people did not ?

My hunch is that's incorrect my hunch is they would mitigate the rate of transmission

My hunch would also be that wearing masks could permit more social freedom whilst absolutely not effectively protecting everyone, just as current measures do not

I think IF you want to slow the infection rate by even 1 percent then mask wearing would be a tool to use

Pointless ?

I'd suggest anything that permeates the mask would not dwell in the air as long as if it were exhaled without any incumbentce ?

Also if it traps just 12 percent then at the peripheral realms of air virus ratios the mask at 2 m 23 cm could be the very difference ?

We often wear masks - nothing to do with covid19 - we just like them.

We dont wear them yet but I suspect we will be doing soon (if we can get hold of them) especially since we've been tasked with servicing the testing and treatment centres
