Can only send one message before the person opens it

Do we think this could work? Say if someone sends me a message they can’t send another one until I’ve opened it. Thought it would be a good way to stop the spam ones and give everyone a more fair chance of getting their message seen 🤔

Hiya op

It would be a great idea, since some choose to ignore the warning prior

Perhaps optional, according to preferences settings.

I sometimes send a message and forget to add a pic, so could resend, with it attached.

It's perhaps most relevant for 1st time contact

It could work, literally blocking the person from sending another.

This should improve the quality of messages, knowing you basically have one initial chance to make an impression.

What would be the suggestion be should the message be deleted without being read?

I like this idea, the amount of messages I get is crazy. Especially when my profile states if I don’t respond don’t be offended. I’m not interested 😂

But then I doubt many read the profile.

Might be a good idea for non friend profiles but I wouldn't want it to apply to friends. A lot of my friends send me 2 or 3 during the day when I'm working and I pick them up when I can.

Just out of interest, if you are not interested, do you not block the profile?

It could work but don't forget that some women want the repeated messages. Ego inflating or whatever it is. Then they get off on the amount of mail they have.

The easiest way is to set your messages to viewing friends only and then you don't have to worry about the other lots.

I hardly see that as a positive good/thing, and certainly not a good reason for a change.

They may do and I usually attempt to remember to do it but this scenario is likely to relate to those who haven't got around to seeing the message yet, before the sender sends even more. It's impossible for them to have been even studied as a potential partner and blocked.

Exactly my point yeah it’s not to block people it just makes things a bit fairer for the patient people who send the one message and end up not getting read

Exactly ...too much like common sense, which isn't the standard on here.
