Comments on pics & videos

It's nice to leave a fab on a pic but being able to comment on pics and videos cold lead to more meets for people. Obviously there's a downside because some folk don't know the "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it" saying but it might revive a bit of interaction between people.  |

Just send them a message.
Anyone can fab a photo, even if they're blocked from messaging via message filters. If they could leave comments you can guarantee they'd use it as a means of making an approach. |

Before Fab I was on a site where you could do this - both selecting preset comments and free text. The comments were beyond banal and it was the same thirsty guys commenting on loads of pics and vids. Added nothing. |

I hear you however When your a couples profile, you get lots of messages. Our inbox is currently at 70 unread, and I've answered a good few today. Private messages can get lost if you receve a lot of messages.
I know my wife, and she's probably more likely to respond to a compliment on one of her pics than a generic message in an overloaded inbox.
That's the angle I'm looking at it from.  |

Fair enough. It could be the exact same on here I suppose but it's another option for noticing people you might be able to connect with.

Imagine the volume you'd have to deal with if there were comments. You have 70 unread messages. You'd have significantly more to deal with if there were comments and the majority from people you'd likely never be interested in. |

Yes I agree. However scrolling message without clicking on them like you have to do in your inbox. Even when we read a message and it's not for us sometimes you get an abusive message back. Comments on pics vids even profiles you have an option to simply ignore. There's pros and cons to everything. Maybe having the option to turn Comments off like the way we can with fabs would suit. Who knows |

Good use of message filters helps cut down on any unwanted ones. You have the option to ignore messages too and any abusive ones should be reported.
Plus there's the block button. It's just a permanent filter, not an insult. Liberal use of that with anyone persistent will cut down on repeat messages from people you have no interest in. |

I think that's the point of the suggestion, it shows their interest, a bit like winks..you then decide whether you like the interest from that person. |

You don't need to click on a message to see if someone isn't for you.. unless you're only interested in dick pics or their looks then I can see your point. The message preview speaks enough volume.
You can take a fab like on a picture as a compliment and message that person back directly. There's also winks you can use as a means of taking something as a compliment.. there's nothing extra that a message on a picture adds that isn't already an option. It is more of a hindrance if anything. |

Being able to leave comments on a photo/video wouldn't lead to interaction because those whom left a comment probably never met them or even had some form of connection or chemistry never mind if got to the stage of even sending a message and a response 😂

So you can't cope with level of messages in inbox but want to add another xxx amount of place to look for comments to connect. Guarantee you'll have way more comments on pics from thirsty guys that don't meet your preferences.
Use your filters to control your mail and hopefully you reduce messages to a manageable amount. Good luck |

I used to have a woman messaging me to say what she would like me to wear in my next pic.
I blocked her because it was relentless so she resorted to posting weekly status updates naming me and a number of other men offering advice for photo ideas despite the fact I would only ever see those messages if I looked at my block list.
Imagine the crap that people like her would write if they had the option to comment on pics or videos and then multiply that by the thirsty tropes for every woman posting a pic. |
