An option to stop men messaging to person multiple times if they don't reply that can be enabled as a filter in the settings. Set the limit to 2 messages maximum incase of a typo maybe.

Having 20 messages in 2 days from 1 person and not replying gets annoying. Before you say block them there's many that do this it'll become a part time job

It's pretty common unfortunately.

Sadly blocking is the only way. Either block the individual repeat messaging or block all of that one demographic and do your own initial messaging. There is a warning message that comes up when you message someone and they’ve not replied to the first messages but thats often ignored.

Use your filters to reduce the amount of messages you get.

You've put this in the right place for admin to see it. However in the meantime you could do the following

As soon as you receive a message you know you're not going to respond to, block the profile.

Check the mail filters you're using and apply the appropriate ones.

Search for the people you'd like to meet and contact them.

Just apply a block to any profile that messages that you know you'll never be interested.

See it as a permanent filter, not any kind of insult. It prevents 100% of repeat messages. 🤷‍♂️

20 messages from 1 person over 2 days???

I was so worried about coming across as pestering if I waited a month to send a follow up, just in case mine got missed/dropped off the inbox. Don't feel quite so bad now!

Rather than the warning, restricted but be better all round even for when a user is still able to message when not looking for them

It's quite a good idea, I would use this feature...

I would suggest you do block anyone repeatedly messaging you like that though OP. It sounds a bit creepy to get 20 messages in 2 days..

Doesn't matter cant block distances

Block feature works greatly.

why should I limit my interaction opportunities with someone else in my criteria

I automatically block those who don't fit/can't read/are trolls/or are just vile chromosomes.

That would mean alot of blocking and alot of my time spent on something I have no interest in.

I'm not a fan of making the first approach either x

That's really troubling... Some dude's are their own worst enemy. I don't even get the logic behind it; you know what they say about madness, same thing over and over...

If you don't do this already, try deleting their initial message rather than leaving them on 'read' that should convey the message (that being you're not interested) better.

If you're looking at the message blocking is just a tap of the finger for a solution to an annoying problem.
