Block people that blocked you

I'd love to see a facility to block people that blocked you, otherwise they could still unblock, message, look at what you're up to and all sorts of creepy shit before blocking you again
If I could block that person myself, that would improve the privacy and security a lot more |

I've never used the desktop version but in the mobile version where it says menu on the RHS. |

When you are on that screen there should still be a menu tab if you click on that you should then have the option to block them. |

I’d like to see some kind of blocking appeal. Or at least when you get blocked they post a reason for it. We were chatting away the other day and then instead of a return message we got blocked, we have no idea why. Bizarre  |

What would be the point of an appeal? If someone blocks you their decision should be respected.
The best thing to do is assume that you said something they didn't like or they changed their mind for some reason. |

i believe you can also go onto your block list and type in a profile name and there is an option on each message that the other person has sent you..  |

I have been on the site for years and I didn’t know you could block from a blocked page. I thought you could only do it from a blocked mail message.

You can still go in and block them, I do it all the time, not out of spite but if someone has blocked me it obviously means they're not interested, not that you've done anything wrong, so I block people who look at messages and don't reply, don't care what anyone says that's just bad manners, I was dragged up better. It costs nothing to be polite. After all someone has taken time out of their life to message you in the first place.Or just delete my messages, this way if their profile comes up again it shows we're blocked so we don't bother eachother again. |

I've had similar responses when I say no thank you. Thankfully not often but find it baffling. I should offer up myself because someone else shows an interest. Even worse when you know it's mass fire copy paste to any online profile at the time.

If a stranger walks past you in the street and greets you as a matter of courtesy I always say something ba k.

Girls/couples can get hundreds of messages a day. Even a simple 'no thank you' reply would take up a good chunk of time when you have to do it hundreds of times every single day.
To some guys even replying 'no thank you' is actually taken as a positive because they've got any response at all and will message back with "why not?" or "how can I improve my profile so that you'd want to meet me?" etc.
Or you'll get the usual copy and paste messages where it's clear they haven't read your profile and if they had they'd see that they aren't what you're looking for or live hundreds of miles away.
It might seem rude or ignorant on the face of it but you have to manage your expectations and not just see things from your point of view. *You* are the one instigating the conversation, not them, so you should accept that not everyone has to reply to you.
Put it another way. Do you reply to all unsolicited messages, emails, flyers and letters you receive from people? Do you think you're rude and ignorant for not replying to a charity who send you an email asking for money, even just to say 'no sorry'?
Multiply that by 300 times a day and have a think whether you would or not. |

I don't get a huge amount of messages but they built up a bit over Christmas to just over 100. It took me just over 2 hours to clear that. While I was online I kept getting more messages. It was like swimming in treacle. So yeah, I'm sorry if I don't want to spend all my time on Fab dealing with rejections. I want to have time to build connections with people that I might actually be interested in meeting. |

A major flaw on here is if someone you block someone and they remember age and rough location by using basic features your status and small photo profile pic can be seen.

I have used the block as a way of not accidentally messaging someone again in the future who wasn't interested. Not as anything negative but not to be a pain lol |

You see the blocked message but it still gives you the menu to counterblock them or report them you cannot see their profile. |

I block those that don't read my profile
That are incompatible based on my profile preferences
I bulk delete messages unread if I'm trying to look at my page and I'm loaded with the blinding yellow screen of unread messages and I'm in public
I block delete if the preview message is vile.
I block if I'm in a forum and the guys a twat expecting expectations...... |

I think some accounts are suspended..I counter blocked a couple who blocked me for no apparent reason but they're not ony block list..so I reckon they've been suspended....(Cos I've only 7 on my block list so they'd show there).... |

The same happened to our friends, they said we had blocked them and panicked thinking they had done something wrong. We hadn't blocked them. Was very confusing. |

I sometimes find people have me blocked for whatever reason..even though I've never ever spoken to them..
I immediately counter-block....it prevents them from unblocking whenever they wish ..just a few mins ago I went to view a couples profile in the forums to find they have me blocked
