Hopefully August time its an old van and I need to do a little work on it before I can use it properly. |

Someone put me on to this app: park4night not tried it yet but looks promising and heard good reports for stop overs"
It's a great app.

"What's the best way to find a suitable van?
Too many websites are listing them as POA or £0, or worse still rentals.
I'm looking for something similar to a romahome, due to restricted parking."
Depends if your buying a base van to convert or buy a ready built or coach built.
But..dude to covid prices have gone mental.
I bought our van for 9.5k and converted it myself for another 16 .

Tell me about it, I feel like I'll never get one, thanks to the plague and the van life craze on YT.
Ready built, is the impossible, that I am looking for. |

"Who is pricing these things? Estate agents?"
It's been the perfect storm.
Lucky of supply of parts for new builds.
Lack of donor vans for self builds.
Prices about 40 percent up from 3 years ago .

Yep, I’m about to sell my house and go full time in a camper. Are there any pitfalls or problems I should look out for ? Something I’m worried about is I take medication and if your on the road then how do you register with a GP ???

I'm out on the road also, I think you call 111 and they should make an appointment with a local GP...I think that's how it works.. good luck |

Cheers buddy I get my prescriptions every 2 weeks, GP sends to chemist and I pick up. Other folk must be similar so wonder how they get round it ? I don’t plan on being anywhere for more than 3 days and intending to do Europe. |

"4.5 to convert? Wow, I'm half way through and already at 8k. Insulation alone was 2k
Yeah. We were about 16 to 16.5k to covert on top of van cost.
"
We did our vauxhall combo conversion mostly ourselves ,took it to a specialist for the heater and electrics ,including awning cost was approx 4.2 k .was a builders van to start with ,just need some nice wheels and its finished,we very pleased with it. |

We just bought another motorhome after a 3yr break. A half missed it.
You people should try France and Spain naturiest camp sites. These are great country's to drive around, stressless too not like the UK..... |
