"Has anyone been to H's cafe on the A2, half way between Canterbury and Dover?
There's a bike meet there every Wednesday evening.
We haven't been (yet) but just wondered..."
Not been midweek but have gone there on a Saturday for brunch.
There’s also 1066 cafe on the way to Hastings on the A21, Robertsbridge and Adelaide Cafe near Deal. |

"Was anyone else mad enough to go out for a ride on Saturday? I did and can safely say the weather was proper shi*t"
Unfortunately didn’t get the chance to go for a ride this weekend, but still managed to get very wet riding in the bedroom Sunday morning. Lol |

Well, it's not starting right now because it needs a new battery lead after I removed the previous owners awful bodge, got a replacement on order as less hassle than making my own.
It was more to do with finishing a swing arm replacent and installation of fork gaiters |

Just saying Hi from Maidstone... (although I know this is an old thread, it seems active-ish)
Had a nice ride down to Hastings the other weekend when it was really sunny... good to get out for a fun ride rather than commuting. |

"Got one of mine up for sale, not so sure I want to now. "
Some like to change their bikes more times than they change their pants.
I get too attached to mine, even more so when I’ve spent time and money making it how I want it.
I am having thoughts on getting shot of my VTR1000 as I’ve had a couple of tumbles in it, the last one with the missus on the back, which badly busted her ribs. We was doing about 10mph at the time. |

Took mine out Sunday for the first time this year. Wow have I missed that buzz!
Bit of an effort to get it started, had to bump start it but then gave it a good 2 hour ride out. I was freezing!
Anyone else out riding? Fancy a social meet up soon? |

Loaded the bike up and went to our first bike rally of the year. If the rest are as good and naughty as this one we are in for a fab year. Legs still aching from all the thrusting Saturday night. |

Got out for a lovely ride last Saturday.
Tried the Butchers Hook cafe near Heathfield that’s biker friendly. Banging bit of grub they do there. Then ended up having a little beer by the riverside at a pub in Aylesford before heading home.
Anyone else make the most of what was possibly our last hot day of the year? |

Just remember....you are NOT on the Autobahn . They take normal and rural speed limits EXTREMELY seriously. They have special junction and oncoming traffic junction signs. Learn them. In Germany, ignorance is not acceptable. There is no Road Traffic Act. Only Road Traffic LAW. Sounds draconian, but if you follow their road laws, it's much more relaxed actually. Ride like a Harley rural or suburban, ride like a sports on autobahn. Personally, ride like a Harley ALL the time in that region. It's WAY too beautiful to pass at warp speed |

Yup. In Minster Thanet. Xvs1100 chop, and Xvs1100 trike. Problem we have, is it's a rarity to be non smoking bikers lol. Plus swingers. May sounds picky, but genuine health reasons for meeting only non smokers. |

"I was out today too. It was lovely!
Where abouts did get to? "
We found a lovely old country pub with a large quirky garden for a spot of lunch in Brenchly, Kent. Managed to avoid the occasional shower and had a brilliant ride.
Got home and ready for a few biker friends to turn up to party through the night.
Going to be a bed day today. |
