Now I'm guessing the keyboard warriors saw that and jumped straight in thinking "oh fuck, here come's another one"... But it is a question, not a whine (I'm very lucky not to have encountered any myself, my time is never wasted).
The question is; What is people's definition of a Fab 'timewaster'?
I see it mentioned in so many profiles, status and (recent car crash) forum posts, but what is YOUR definition?
Now, I'm not after a definitive answer; because there isn't one! We all have different opinions and different outlooks on here, but I'm interested to find out how varied the interpretation of the term 'timewaster' is, depending on those outlooks...
Thanks in advance |

I hate it when your mailing back & fo & they want to arrange something for next Tuesday.. So you leave Tuesday free, & lo & behold the actual cu next Tuesday is him, b'cuz theres no mail no contact & then a few days later the dog died, the cat got run over ect.. The list goes on really... |

definition of a timewaster is when you drive for half hour to get to the agreed meet and they cancel just as you car is getting in the street, this happened to me first week on fab |

Hmmm as much as I love a car crash post (wrong of me I know) this is an interesting question.
I’ve been called one a couple of times. Only in the context of not meeting until I’m comfortable talking to someone, and admittedly this can sometimes be quite a while. I don’t subscribe to the instant message and meet group, a tactic that’s led me to make some brilliant friends on here I guess that leaves me in the danger zone of time wasters as I think many may think it’s someone who doesn’t have any intention of meeting.
For me it would be someone who says they will meet and doesn’t show up, or strings someone along with the promise of a meet.
What’s your take on it OP?

For me it's failing to show at a meet, or failing to communicate firm plans for a pre agreed meet. Fab has so many that I'm relaxed about it now - if a guy makes plans to see me next week he will almost certainly fail to make contact again. It's a good way to avoid meeting cock wombles |

We have been called timewasters because we want to talk and get to know someone before we meet so all parties can feel comfortable with what we do next. If we realise someone isnt for us we will be polite and say that, but have been called it after a bit of chatting when we realise it wont work, after realising it wouldnt work on a when we wanted to meet basis and even after a couple of 'meet now?' messages that we have politely declined. A shame as we are a good fun pair really but the right people will come along! |

I think I'm on board with you, I don't feel the need to rush, and I do enjoy the back and forth of intelligent (and often filthy) conversation, but if that's all its ever going to be, then why is that time wasted? It's not.
I've never been unfortunate enough to be let down by a late withdrawal or no-show (well for a first time meet anyway ) but would agree, if the promise is there and then taken away, then yes, I'd feel a little agrieved, but hey, no-one owes me anything, so I know I wouldn't come crashing my car into the forums! |

I get called a time waster and a fake for politely saying no to people, then get the same abuse for deleting without a reply! Can’t blooming win!
For me tho, biggest time wasters are those always talking about meeting but never making plans to do so and those who vanish when you have made plans together!
I mean if they just want an online exchange then great just say that but drop the constant mention of meeting! |

I can agree with several answers here. Especially those who "string" you along with promises to meet. Arrangements get made, work rota changed and then the person disappears. Another is someone saying they will meet on a certain day, again plans change to accommodate meeting and you get let down. That's one reason I've taken a step back from meeting at the moment...but hey ho, there are some great genuine people here too... |

"We haven't met off her in such along time as can't be arsed with being messed about.
We only do clubs & parties "
Honestly, considering the same at the moment. Anyone we are interested in seems to ghost us after a couple of days for a fast fuck and we dont deserve that. Their loss as Mr keeps telling me. |

Time wasters - asks to meet and doesn’t bother, it’s that simple.
No need for games. Like most of us on here I like to get to know who I’m meeting so it takes time building up that confidence and trust and then to be ghosted or let down is so annoying and off putting but it happens to everyone I guess. Shame x |
