Is there any alternative to Veet, as it smells like a camels arse and is prone to cause irritation on my chicken-skin handbag. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. |

I find if I shave once a week it helps keep the forest down!
Personaly, I use Wilkinson Swords 'Mach 5' razor. It gives a good cut & the swivel head is handy to get to the nook & cranies!
The blades are cheaper than Gillete, the rule of thumb I use is one razor should last every 4 weeks. Don't use a blunt razor as it will hack you to bits!
I go for a 'wet' shave myself. Have a hot shower before hand to help open up the pores, helps give a smooth shave, maybe a hot flannel to, if you can stand it!
I use a shaving brush & cup, mix a bit of shaving gel & menthol shaving oil. Leave for a couple of minutes to work it's magic, then your razor will glide through like a hot knife through butter!
I always have a shower again after & to help avoid unsightly razor 'rash' I use a product called 'Power Shave'.
It's a post shave product, stings a bit& you may be cross eyed for a few seconds but it works a treat! It's available on Amazon.
Just take your time, you will probably have the odd 'nick' but it's a clean cut so nowt to worry about!
Hope my 'top tips' have been of some help! |
