I know I'm early this year but with the squad having just been named I thought we could make an early start.
5 uncapped players in Louis Rees Zammit, Nick Tompkins, WillGriff John, Will Rowlands and Johnny McNicholl (who featured in the uncapped game v the Babas)
I had no idea Nick Tompkins was WQ and tbh I think Pivac has played a blinder there poaching him for Wales. I've watched him play for Sarries the past couple of seasons and hopefully he will solve our current centre issues Quality guy!! |

Never heard of this Will Rowlands before.

Not fully convinced by our squad, especially the front 5. Lots of quality missing due to injuries.
Good chance to increase our depth and we have a potentially superb back row.
Think we'll finish 3rd/4th. |

I think that suits us down to the ground |

I agree, some exciting players in there. Be great if Will Rowlands and WGJ add some beef and ball carrying to our front 5.
Looking forward to seeing Wainwright develop further and hope Faletau is back near his best.
LRZ is very exciting to watch but is he ready? |

Just wanna see the backline firing again playing some attractive attacking rugby.
I love Gatland for what he have achieved but as successful it we was. Our attacking play was poor at times so looking forward to the new era.
Feel sorry for Pivac following Gatland |

I'm happy with the squad Pivac has picked definitely some young talent in there but 10 is still weak position no real strength in depth, I feel Tompkins has to start at centre English pretty pissed that he's slipped through they're fingers! |

That depends on if it's peak Faletau or a shell of the would class 8.
Peak Faletau is one of the 1st names on the team sheet.

How's Wainwright going to learn by sitting on the bench? We're playing Italy on Saturday so I think it's worth allowing him to further develop by playing.
He's going to be great player in time, I'm convinced of it. |

Its a new start and a new era for welsh rugby. Pivac has got a huge act to follow and with that comes huge pressure. He doesn't have the players that gatland had but im sure each new player will wear the red jersey with pride and give 110%. Lets get behind the squad and wish them the best of luck. We need to get off to a winning start. |

Evans couldn't set foot on the pitch unless 1/2 p is on there too (in a starting line up). I know pre world cup his goal kicking success rate was 64%. You will never be 1st choice 10 with that. Biggar is a class ahead but hopefully Jarod will improve. He is known for slinging a few interception passes aswell which at this level you can't get away with. He'll come though |

I thought Ireland were lucky to win against Scotland IMO.
If we win the upfront battle in the forwards, main concern is the scrum though but I think we'll win by 9+. Biggest Sanjay fan but he can't be thrown straight back into the team against Ireland.
Think Tompkins has to start at centre and leave North on the bench to cover 13 and wing. |

Sanjay won't be back til the England game
Tompkins should start and move North back to the wing
JMac not solid enough in defence....won't get away with it against Stockdale
The bench shout is tough
Watkin or McNicholl....or even LRZ.... |

"I thought Ireland were lucky to win against Scotland IMO.
If we win the upfront battle in the forwards, main concern is the scrum though but I think we'll win by 9+. Biggest Sanjay fan but he can't be thrown straight back into the team against Ireland.
Think Tompkins has to start at centre and leave North on the bench to cover 13 and wing.

I definitely agree with North going back on the wing myself.
Maybe Owen Williams on the bench as he can cover 10/12 so you can put McNicholl or LRZ. |

It was neither here nor there him or Cawdor on the bench really
Tomos deserves the start |

We didn't learn from the Italy game and paid for it. Weak in defence too much space around the wings and tomkins didn't have a good game being bounced about and missing tackles. |

I'd imagine Pivac wanted to keep his own staff from the Turks with him so Edwards wouldn't fit
There were a lot of missed tackles
Except for Tips who has completed every single attempted tackle in the tournament so far |

Not sure Haywood is answer, was average player who then didnt do great job with U21 tbh but time will tell.
As for tups he is outstanding and fully deserving of new contract |

Another game full of defensive errors some glimpses of attacking play but at that level not good enough to only 40 mins.
Tuperic head and shoulder best welsh player again.
Think scotland game should now be used to play youngster/fringe players in preparation for summer tour to Japan and NZ |

The 3 tests against NZ will be a car crash of epic proportions.
I've no idea what the game plan is in attack or defence. Our kicking game is awful and our set piece piss poor.
That scoreline flattered us to a ridiculous extent.

Having 3 players in front of the disciplinary committee tells it's own story.
But...I don't care about that. We were bullied up front legally, our set piece is garbage our defence porous and our attack impotent.
England will be gutted they let us get within 3 because they were a much superior side.
We have major issues and I'm worried about where we we're heading. I can still remember what happened the last time we had a Turk in charge |
