The reason there are events for bbw's is so they get an evening (day in some clubs) that they can feel comfortable around other bbws and bbw admirers. It's not so easy for women and men that have weight issues to rock up at a club and feel they aren't being judged that they shouldn't be there. They should feel comfortable all the time but let's face it this doesn't happen. Regular women and men won't understand this if they've never had a weight problem.

Ah yes, this makes perfect sense. It is a shame that some bigger women do not feel comfortable coming to some clubs.
The way I see it is that this scene is for everybody of all varieties, shapes and sizes, but maybe I am still a bit naieve, only being into this for less than a year.
I just felt like I was missing out not being a BBW

While I totally get that anybody can be self aware and conscious. Lingerie is far more geared at the svelte lady and for a BBW to wear any that will fit and be comfortable takes far more courage as like I said above they feel judged for wearing. I have been in a club when unfortunately things have been said along the lines of who does she think she is coming here desssed like that. While this time of people is a minority it only takes one comment to drag someone's insecurities out loud and proud.
I totally get what the op said about feeling left out. Every party night is a bonus and there are a lot of parties geared toward all shapes and sizes also colour. There are Hotwives nights, greedy girls nights, BMFC nights, and many more. Newport's BBW is a new event starting. |

Defintely this & I personally don't think there's a need for events aimed at different groups, I have tried BBW days but I'm not a fan of the male mindset & haven't appreciated some of the conversations I've overheard.
There was a BBW night at Chams before, same mix of people as usual all shapes & sizes. Think some people need a label to make a night of it X |

I go to places when I want & I'm not working not because it has a label. If I wasn't working that night I'd be at your event, doesn't mean I agree with all the labels. I personally don't like listening to men telling each other how they go to BBW events because the 'fat' girls are 'easy'. Omg this place is such hard work at times, you'll want my work timetable next to show why I can't go Fridays  sort yourselves out ladies X |
