Morning,
I lied a little bit as I'm not a tourist when I visit wales but couldn't think of a heading(sorry)
I already come to south and west wales for business reasons and have done for decades but recently I've been asked to add mid and north wales to my area.
Any tips on where to stay hotel wise, ideally on the coast or at least by a river/lake as I do like to wander in the evenings after work(preferably to a nice pub)
I've got my usual hotels in the south and west but might be missing a gem so open to suggestions in that area as well.
If anyone fancies a mid week social please say hi,
Have a great weekend everyone |

We are staying in a guesthouse in Llandudno in a couple of weeks time for a couple of days, we sort of stumbled across the place and after looking at pics and reviews we think we've found a gem, if this is somewhere that you're visiting then we'd happily let you know what we think when we get back. |

There are surprisingly few hotels in North wales due to it being more of a caravan holiday destination. Most are clustered in Llandudno as part of the original victorian resort and tend to cater for OAPs.
The Deganwy Quays hotel is probably the nicest and it's pretty central in Llandudno Junction.
There's the usual string of travelodges and premier Inns along the A55. Other than that it's a pot luck of B&Bs. |

Doesn't sound promising but the quays is worth a look
Thank you |

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply, I will have a look but prefer hotels with a bar etc as I find guesthouses rather quiet and no one to talk to where as a hotel bar you've got a slim chance |
