I think thats the point, yes it might be easy enough to translate. But if you start letting a language that the majority DO NOT understand regardless of what language it is, how are the mod's or site admin's able to maintain a safe site ? The answer is they can't.

Yes I am all for expressing you're right to speak or write any language you wish, but I hope you will agree that the safety of the members primarily the single ladies is paramount allowing languages other than English allows the potential for open and unregulated abuse.

for example: Je, unaelewa

Nonsense. It's not just the mods and admin that maintain a safe site, it's the users as well. Why do you think there's a 'report' button on every post?

We're in a forum discussing things relevant in Wales. Both English and Welsh have the same status in Wales so why not in a Wales forum

Let me ask this question, did you translate my example? I doubt it

otherwise you would have understood the point I am trying to make.

I agree that the users help in maintain a safe site also, but all they can do is report the user, if the powers that be deem it to be either a false report or not worthy of a ban the user remains on the site. So if you cannot understand what is being said there is no it can be monitored.

As you say, we are discussing relevant things in the Welsh forum, I am ashamed to admit it, I do not speak Welsh. So if a native does not speak the language how are English speaking people suppose to decide what is appropriate in the forums.

The point is, that no one would post something in a forum unless others could understand it. Doing so is like talking to yourself, so your point is... err pointless

Welsh is not a difficult language to get translated, so there's no reason a mod couldn't do that with any reports.

Unfortunatly the person who mods the forums can only follow the rules that are laid down by admin.

So please dont expect them to make exceptions just because it was St Davids day, or it being in the wales forum.

Well just out of curiosity, being as it is a free society, freedom of speech and all where can we see the list that dictates what can and can't be said or are we mere plebs not privy to that info??

Just interested is all..
