The social was great. It was was it was meant to be a SOCIAL. The people who attended were friendly and easy going and would talk to anyone even Under 40's! Im not quite sure some people understand what a social event is .. its an event where people who chat get to meet and friends get together. They are free to be the people they are in a relaxed enviroment without having to be guarded it is not a Speed dating event for swingers. Maybe student night on Wind Street would be more suitable.
The sooner people stop moaning about who or what age group or gender attend then the better these events will become. As to be stuck in their ways everyone has different ways if their way doesnt suit some then dont bother going!!
Lover a VERY OLDIE!!!

If YOU want an under 40's social then why don't YOU organise one. The socials, just like this site, is open to all ages. Not the first time this week that someone has complained about there being too many oldies around. |

Don't think we saw/met many younger couples, a few younger singles though.
We appreciate though that it is a difficult lifestyle for younger couples to enjoy because of children, which is probably why it appears as though a majority of couples are older.
We enjoyed the evening, the company we kept and the people we met were lovely.
Thanks to the organisers.
Happy swinging. |

Every large gathering of people socially will have it's own cliques, it's human nature to surround yourself with people you are comfortable with. It's not exclusively a swinging thing. |

cliques now theres an interesting term.
at the social last night myself and fire made a point of going round and talking to as many friends and newbies as we could didnt get round everyone in fact we didnt meet nickjo till the end of the night but now we know what they look like will chat in more depth next time.
if you feel a bit left out which can happen then go around and introduce youreself its probably your own shyness or nervousness thats getting in the way remember this isnt an ordinary night out its a swingers social where we are all there for the same thing to meet and chat with likeminded people so nobody is gonna be surprised when you ask who they are on fab. as for the younger element i would say most couples are between 30 and 50 some older some younger its a blend of both and all i can say is if you are going to restrict yourself to people under a certain age limit then you are going to be dissapointed swinginers are like a good wine get better as they age pmsl so sinns must be a good fuck cos he does look 90 his words not mine and i must be crap cos fire reckons i shag like a 21 year old pmsl. so next time you at a social cdiff 24th fior instance go around and say hello and if fire and myself see you on youre ownsome wewill come say hello

I think it was a cracking Swansea social and I had loats of fun. You wont get a certian age range at ANY social event, this site has a wide range of people from different proffesion, backgrounds, AGES, and tastes.
Not all people can make every social, and due to economic times people are short of money. This may be the prime reason that most younger couples/singles (who may have children) could not attend.
Dont let this put you off social events as the more people you get to know, the more you will enjoy the nights.
As for certian groups bieng together (click's) the post on here explains that very well. People naturally congregate around people they are comfortable with and this is not confined to swinging !
Look at any pub, club, or party you may go to in the vanilla wourld, and you will see groups of people together, not trying to be clicky but just comfortable with people they know.
This is more the reason for you to attempt to talk to people at the events, as the more you get to know the more you will be introduced too
I would just like to thank the organisers of the Swansea social for all their hard work, and for making it an exeptional night xxx |

Just a quick question to the OP
Do you not have enough discrimination for your lifestyle choice without making such an extreme attempt to aliante most others whom have chosen the same lifestyle ?
Or is this just another smoke screen thread with an intent to discredit the Swansea socials ? |

there is no pleasing some people,if they had done a social for under 40,s then i wouldn,t be able to attend as my hubby is over 40 and a vast majority would be in the same position, just like if they dont one for over 40,s i still wouldnt be able to attend as im under 40,if you cant mingle with people of all ages and all walks of life then maybe the socials aren,t for you ,and as maid pointed out student night might be best suited to your mentallity. and as for the "cliques" there arent any just because some one choses to sit by people they know doesnt make them clicky its not a kiddies party where they play musical chairs ffs, if you cant make the effort to talk to people dont come on hear moaning about it, the organisers of these social events do it off there own backs, and dont deserve the bitching when they have put in the hard work. so well done to johnlyn from a youngy married to an oldie |

As long as a good time was had thats the main thing. It may have bben that this month the younger peeps didnt want to go, its a mix and match at the end of the day isnt it. Just go along, enjoy and make new friends. |

Well in our experience ( as an under 40 couple may I add ) we have always found the socials that we have attended great ! We may not have loved the venue but the night is what you make it. We found the mixture of ages great it varied from the younger 21-25 couples and singles right up to people in their more senior years and we just loved the complete diversity of people and we all have age preferences and to be completely honest the socials have taught us never to be set in stone as some of the people we have met older than our profile pref were awesome company and definately people we would spend time with xx and deffo well said maid xx |

Having sat back and watched, i have noticed a huge clique on here in the chatrooms, its embarrassing sometimes watching someone trying to get attention in there as if your new you just get ignored. |
