Cpls complaining about meets not turning up, what do you honestly expect when your age limit is 25 to 30 years younger than you, these people who reply to you are from a a much younger generation and are not interested in us wrinkles, there are a few who are, but if that's what your looking for stop moaning when they don't show. |

If you want to meet - arrange a date and stick to it.
If you don't - politely decline, no need to mess people around.
Age has nothing to do with good manners. |

There’s too many time wasters on the site, I agree. However that isn’t down to age alone I’ve had a number of older women or couples talk to me for over a week, arrange a meet and then never hear from them again.
And there’s a lot of younger people who love and prefer meeting older, myself included. |

I get the feeling your wrong.
Just the older people asking for males the age of their own kids moaning when the the young lad gets a younger meet and don't show then don't moan about it exspect it. Why drive a Ford when you can ride in a Bentley. |

What evidence is this based on? We all see status updates from couples and singles bemoaning no shows but where have you seen one stating it was a younger person that let them down and more to the point where's your evidence that the other person chose to meet someone their own age ? Just assumptions born out of frustration? Why else come on a forum to complain? |

This just sounds like an older man complaining about being out of some age brackets. If someone is a no show, regardless of age, they have a right to complain about it. They shouldn't have arranged to meet up, if they had no interest in meeting someone older than them. Though saying that, I've yet to see a status from a 55 year old couple bemoaning the fact that their 35 year old meet hasnt turned up on a staus. You are only assuming their potential meet is a lot younger. News flash, any age can be a no show. Shocking I know, but there it is. Not everyone has hard filters. Even people outside of age ranges can message some couples, so you are assuming that to be the case, rather than knowing it for a fact

Jealousy is a terrible thing.
Also, maybe they want a ford and not a old Bentley |

Is this a plea for couples to shop in their age range to guaruntee a meet? Are they given permission to complain about a no show then? If the older male doesnt show up?

If you see older people as Fords and Younger as Bentleys that would suggest you prefer younger ? Sort of blows your
complaint about couples looking for younger out of the water, don't you think? |

Your age range is 50 to 99 so I'm guessing if an 80 year old agreed to meet you you'd feel it's ok to simply not turn up. |

I don't think it matters how old you are.
If you're not interested, don't arrange to meet.
If you get a better offer, have the grace to let people know you won't be turning up. They may be able to make alternative plans then rather than be left hanging.
Not showing is just rude - and can be reported happily. |

There are many reasons to no shows and age is not one of them.
Most of the time it's just down to the person bottling out after being a keyboard warrior who can't follow through.
It's not just single males.
Fems and couples mess others around and you just need to be more cautious when arranging meets. |

Absolutely Kitty, manners cost nothing and go a long way. I would never arrange a meet & not turn up for it. And in the event of not being able to make it due to circumstances, I would contact whoever I was meeting to let them know & try to reschedule. |

I uhhhh. I literally wasted a good 137 seconds reading up on this thread and it can basically be summed up in one succinct word:. 'Mnwaaaaaa--aaaaaaaa' (across a couple of octaves there).....
OP, can I get a refund on my time spent on this thread? Because, speaking from personal experience and based on the multiple interactions with many couples of all varieties, your opinion appears somewhat 'niche' in origin. |
