Sort of single ish for 5 years, depends what single is tbh. Living alone, not in a serious/committed/exclusive relationship? 'Single' will be experienced differently by people. Very interesting thread X |

It's been 18 months for me , at first I was having a ball .. now I'm seriously beginning to believe I'm destined to be on my own from this day forward , haha |

It's not so much the living alone , i actually quite enjoy it !I have myself together, and a really good social support network, great friends, family etc..
It's the lacking intimacy as much as the little things you get from an exclusive relationship x |

I felt like you. I was single for nearly 5 years and I thought I would be on my own forever. I had a blast on here and didn't realise I was missing anything until I met my sidekick then I realised how lonely I had been   |

Yep! A completely different kind of intimacy.. I miss the mundane, every day stuff most like cooking with someone and catches, someone checking in , the goodnight and good morning exchanges..
I get like this sometimes, then realise that actually single isn't so bad, I don't feel lonely.. just want something to add ..

Will be 11 years next month. (Have had a fb since last November from here). My son has just moved out. So properly living on my own. They do say life begins at 40. So just need to wait until July.  |

Not so much single as solo poly for the last four years. Ethical Non monogamy..
I live alone, had / have different people who add to my life on different ways.
Open to developing a more intimate connection with another again, as I did have a good connection with one till recently. |

I don't think I could have had a relationship with someone off here. Although many have so never say never "
I'd never say never, if you meet up and you get on with each other then go for it |
