Not going to beat around the bush but it hurt like hell when I had mine done only takes a few seconds but ouch... few weeks to heal properly, but definitely worth it!! Good luck.. |

Pain wise .. somewhat subjective as we all have varying thresholds to pain.
The key is in the preparation.. to be comfortable with an experienced piercer for one and to be in the right mainframe.
The piercer should clamp the area with Duvall clamps and should use a hollow medi cut needle that’s been in an autoclave.
Slow steady breaths and breath in as the needle is passed through ... yes an element of pain for a split second
Healing wise .. opt for straight barbels (2.5mm gauge) as ball closure rings will move and flap
During the first couple of weeks use a saline solution and cotton wool buds to clean.
Some people take magnesium or multi vitamin tablets .. but just take care of yourself .. eat well and sleep well.. your body will do the rest.
Most people heal after 5 - 6 weeks .. that’s the time to switch to the ball cosure rings |

I had mine down about 3 mths ago it does hurt a little but deep breaths while having it done does help the pain lasts seconds . Looking after yourself is key tho and making sure your nipples are kept clean . I used sea salt and Water with cotton buds . Mine healed nicely and are great now very sensitive lol xx |

Had mine in for over 20 years, didn't hurt much when I had them done but over the latter 5 years with health issues etc, they kept becoming inflammed. Got to the point I couldn't let anyone near them for fear of them becoming infected. It was a relief to take them out but I'll admit I do miss them X |
