As we watch all the people rushing pushing and shoving to be first at the tills all for what!!!!!!!!
to spend money they dont have to please people who dont really care .......
and all this for one day!!!!!
so tell me what happened to the true meaning of Christmas ........... going to midnight mass with the family sitting round the table reading the stupid jokes they put in the crackers and watching the queen speech
now its all about getting d*unk .....in hope the day would go quicker
letting the kids stay on the game consoles as long as they like......in a bid to keep them quiet.
so with the washing up all done guests snoring on the sofa dad drinking himself into a coma and the kids in there rooms on there new game consoles I can finally relax for ten min before taking the guest home so tell me what is Christmas really all about but rushing around cooking cleaning and entertaining family guest and kids so for all women out there its a pretty normal day........

Two Christmases ago, my satelite dish fell off the wall, Christmas Eve..... what a strange, quiet Christmas I had.
I could have watched some of the dozens of unwatched DVD's, instead, I played music...... no crappy telly was a bonus.
Did watch one DVD on Christmas Day though, Life of Brian! Thought it was an alternate Christmas film! I whistled 'Always look on the bright side of life' for the rest of the day.
I don't bother much with the gift thing, it seems you just spend money on buying others crap that they don't want, and they do the same back to you.
So, I go out and buy myself something I want or need..... at least I don't have to worry about not liking it!!!
Will push the boat out on Christmas Day though, I'm going to have potatoes!! lol Choccies are not on my shopping list this year...... might have a small Penderyn after dinner though! xx |

its about sharing and giving for me......... i get more joy giving to people than receiving!! pulls at my heart strings if i hear of anyone who hasn't got much so each year we try and help someone out locally, ie..... food hampers etc. couldnt enjoy my christmas lunch if i knew of others we might know, struggling far less . got my hamper on the go as we speak for this year and already bought a little girl her presents to... I know its not much in the big world, but i do my best |
