Gutted to hear sam has had to retire due to his injuries.out standing player

Well at 29 he's achieved more than most players do.

European Challenge Cup

2 grand slams

2 triple crowns

1 6 six nations with either

Captained 2 Lions tours

1 the first victory in 12 years (Australia) and an extremely impressive draw in New Zealand last summer.

Arguably one of the best back rowers the modern game has seen.

Always was going 5o have a short career because of the way he plays and the standard he holds himself too.

Best thing you can say about him is he left every jersey better off then when he pulled it on. His legacy is massive.

Spot on he was a great player and will be missed on the field.
