Sunny SouthWest

Depends on tide times whether you go from Southerndown end or Monknash end. Monknash way walking down from the Plough & Harrow probly shorter walk but the beach section is on boulders if tide is in. There used to be ladder and rope right by the naturist bit but not sure if still serviceable? If tide is out then you have an easy but longish walk on flat soft sand.

Just messaged you directions!

One word of warning, its high tide at 4:47PM today, so you'll need to get off the beach by 2:00PM unless your planning on staying until the tide drops back in the evening before walking out!

Enjoy!!!

Was great, a member of our group did have verbal off a dog walker who also tried to take his picture and take it to police! He obviously does not understand the simple face that naturism is not illegal.Pleased you enjoyed your visit

Looks like a lovely beach and thinking of going on Friday. Question, is this just a place to get naked and swim / sunbathe, or are we likely to find people "having fun"?

Planning on going tomorrow, what time do you think access to the beach to the right (as you look out to sea) will be possible until? And if we make it round what time would we be able to get out again? Not been there before you see. Not a big tide tomorrow. Thanks.

Enjoy!!!"

I walked from plough and Harrow. When you hit the beach where do you go from there ? I wasn’t sure.

Whatever you do, please don't climb down Jacobs ladder. It's extremely scary and doubt it could take ay weight anymore

Are the ladders no longer secure?

I went up the ladder last time I was there.

It was a bit ropey but I wouldn’t like to go down it.

Ladders still in use, just be extremely careful of bottom ladder, it is breaking away from the edge, best either enter from monknash or southerndown end

I use the ladder every time. I find it secure and safe.

We parked at the pjb and walked through the nature reserve and walked to the end. It took about 40 mins to an hour. X

I was down there on Sunday, the ladders are fine, same as last year and felt secure, a couple that I chatted too agreed they were fine!

Lovely down there as usual, but lots of textiles walking through as it was a sunny Sunday, so had to keep the towel ready for a quick cover up, ha, ha!!!
