Stick to the large chain hotels and they won't bat an eye lid if you act normally. I'm sure they've seen it all before.
Arrived at 7am to meet a friend. Their room was off the dining area, so had to walk past reception and through it. A nice big smile, confident Good Morning and a purposeful walk and they hardly looked at me.
Personally I wouldn't recommend small B&Bs. But you could try airbnb.

Most chains will do early check in our late check out which gives you most of a day in the room & others have said, Google day rooms, they aren't as expensive as you'd imagine X |
