Im sure this topic has appeared before, and its not a new problem, but in light of the growing number of fakes on here should couples (and single fems i guess) be forced to photo veri before chatting?
Admittedly it still wont be 100% waterproof but it will make it a bit harder for the time wasters.
Are we asking too much? Or is there a better way? |

Absolutely not.
I have a life away from fab and don't personally want a photograph "out there"....Personally I don't send or require photos.Thankfully there are females on fab who like me practice both discretion and dignity. |

Amongst other tactics this would help make life more difficult for fakers and timewasters. |

What does sending a photograph prove? It might not be an actual photo of the person you are in contact with. You'll never stay one step in front if fraudulent people. |

The veri photo is totally discrete anyway. Its not foolproof but at least shows two people are involved in setting up the account
Its ur choice to not share photos..
We need discretion but we certainly wouldnt arrange a meet without seeing a photo first...
Cam on kik is better...

Any suggestion has gotta help guys for sure--people just come n go to suit--my opinion is this site takes enough money to work a damn sight harder on it--gives basically nothing and what you oay for isn't really that accurate--but hey photo veri gets a start I guess both |

That isn't how the photo verification process works. |

Anyone can fake a photo to get veried, even someone with little tech know-how like me, so all it would do is make it harder to pick out the fakes. If you are concerned about someone you are in contact with on here, give them three options...
1. Phone call
2. Cam
3. Meet at an organised social.
If they turn down all three, then block them.

Some peoples sheer desperation to meet seems to cloud their common sense on here |

we wont speak to anyone who isnt verified never mind pic verified lol also a pic of a person is important early on i like to see a pic of who we are talking to and call me shallow but i have a type and if they arent its better to know earlier on to save both parties time |

I've talked to a guy who is photo verified but still has fake pics on his _rofile. Ive reversed searched the pics he has on his _rofile and they're off more than one sire bit still he insist they're his yet the guy in the pic is from America. Profile owner is from Bridgend .
If it was mandatory in the set up of a _rofile then yes maybe it would deter fakes but as previously stated some will still abuse the situation |

Next people will be saying should it be mandatory to reply to mail because you have a green flag or because you have supported the site and have a nice medal to show for it.
Nothing is mandatory on here, all mandatory does is force people to NOT have a choice on how they choose to use the site.
I don't have a poncey flag ony _rofole to show the world I'm genuinely because I don't feel the need to, people know I'm from my meet verifications and attendance at socials.
Which by the way are NOT mandatory to attend |

100% agree Prof
People should take a bit morr responsibility for themselves aswell
If they get sucked in by a fake.... more fool them
Yes it's annoying I don't doubt but it's hardly the end of the world
Learn from it and move on
Most of us can spot a fake a mile off
Reverse image search is helpful
Common sense is also helpful

I think it's a great suggestion. Photo verification is private so there's no risk involved really and I think you can delete the photo once approved anyway. Provided the site does actually delete it then what's the harm?? |
