You guys probably get this a lot. But we are thinking of going to chams together to experience the place.
Not really interested in playing with others just yet but to have a nose and experience the place together.
Is this the norm or more frowned upon?
I know no one can make us join in etc but would we be made to feel unwelcome?

You'll have links to their website and reviews of the club 
Your best bet, when going to any new club is to introduce yourself to the bar staff, and hopefully they'll help you out, give you a club tour, introduce you to the regulars etc.
Just by hanging around the bar you'll be able to get the feel of the place  |

When we joined a few years ago we was given a guided tour(it'll take a couple of visits to get use to the layout).
We didn't play on our first visit(apart from with each other) and at no time did we ever feel pressured to play.
Go and enjoy the facilities, socialise in the bar area and just have a good look around, some love the club others don't. |
