Knowing what you want & don't want doesn't make you up your own arse, it makes. us discerning. I'm certainly not here to chat with people I have no wish to know |

Same as Peachy I'm afraid
I know what I'm looking for (when I'm looking) and am not here to humour those who don't interest me. That isn't rude or up your own arse |

maybe a bit harsh about being up the own arse thing. but it don't half create a action . it seems it can be taken the wrong way. I do apologise never meant for this to happen. maybe my sense of humour as changed over the years. |

No offence taken I was simply responding, for me a sense of entitlement knocks me cold, it's almost as off putting as desperation & up there with whining. But then I'm on the very shallow side tbh X |

"how to make this site fun once again. "
We'll, OP, not trying to be critical or funny, but you only seem to post on the forums about twice every 15 weeks....
Maybe if you contributed more often you could join in the fun and banter
It's not rocket science, but you only get out what you put in, dirty if like the law of thermodynamics
Maybe if we had more people contributing there would be more opinions and variety |

Tbf though Jack it is near on impossible to have a bit of fun and banter on here these days without someone taking offence
It gets a bit boring
So I can see why the foruns have unfortunately become seldom used by some |

The trick with the forums is not to take them too seriously....
Also do not post anything where you are asking for an opinion or advice as that opens you up to comments that might just offend you.
Unless your aim is to stir up controversy....

Problem is people ask for an opinion or advice but don't like the answer when it is given if it goes against the expectation of the answer they wanted |

This is the problem Snow
A lot of people ask for an opinion and if it isn't the same as theirs go off in a tantrum
They seem to forget that the forums are open for anyone to post whatever they like within the forum rules
The fun and banter element went a long time ago as those of us who always enjoyed that part of it have given the fuck up due to being outnumbered these days by the miserable, over sensitive and easilly outraged who lurk around to pounce on anyone having a bit of fun and try and turn themselves into a fucking victim.
Life's far too short for that shit |

I'm not a miserable prude etc etc.
However it amuses immensely me to see the same old names, singing from the same song sheet (the minority incidentally) defending their often unsavoury behaviour trying to out shock each other and showing their ignorance by telling the rest of us that we are over sensitive. |

I've had a little ponder on that & you know what, I'm truly not vain enough to think anyone gives a shit about my thoughts or views on anything, but as a human being it is actually nice to be able to express a view when one is sought, I can't even apologise if it's not the right one but I can generally guarantee it's my one X |

This kind of thin skin has even got a name now. Snowflake due to how fragile people's feelings are. By all means post on forums and accept that people will agree with you and others won't.
Let's not turn the forums into a safe space |

"...boring, out-of-date willful ignorance of changing attitudes..."
So we all have to be mindful of what we say now, do we?
I think, in all honesty, that most swingers are actually pretty open-minded and tolerant of other peoples views, what does grate however is when someone gets all bent out of shape about someone elses opinion on something they said, and starts ranting about how we are all closed-minded, rude, uneducated or trolls.
Just because its become fashionable to "care", be "politically correct" or be "non-confrontational" doesn't mean its a lifestyle we should all forced to adopt.
Human nature means conflict, and debate in a forum is healthy, if you want to have your hand held and your fevered brow mopped then I'd suggest a swingers forum really isn't the place to look.

Can we have a forum panic room?
Then we could retreat in there whenever want and lock the doors?

Personally I couldn't give a shit if someone wants to have a pop at me as I'm as thick skinned as they come but I personally believe it's why the Welsh forum is shit unless you like social or social fuck ignore type posts..

I think there should be a limited number of replies and posts an individual puts on the forums per month.
This would make people think twice about using up their quota.
They ( the posts) are all variations on the same theme anyway written by the same half dozen or so boring individual attention seekers who have too much to say for themselves.....They know who they are..and will reveal themselves to us all when they respond to my comments. |

It's a tough one though isn't it, I mean as long as there is freedom of speech there will always be a massive divide and things will generally escalate because a lot of us don't know each other and therefore take things as a personal attack. I think there are groups that stick together in the Wales forum and I get the fact that its because they are mates but as an individual again it can feel quite personal. I have thick skin as well but not everybody does.
I have personally argued with you and also pm you with abuse back last year and for that I'd like to say I'm sorry, but you have to appreciate that (and this is a compliment) you are a confident woman and in all fairness you give as good as you get. But I am truly sorry there was no need for my personal comments to you it just got to me that day x
Anyway. It's the new year so why don't we all try to change the format if we all feel the same..maybe if you take offence to reading a comment maybe we should all take a step back and deep breath.
Well that's my new years resolution wishing you all a good new year x |

People can be banned from posting in the forums by a forum moderator.
However due to the amount of posts it's just easier for the thread to be shut down rather than troll through the individual posts and make an estimated guess on who's saying what about who.
Sometimes it's just not that clear who is being obusive or misbehaving in an individual thread so that's why there is the report option in each individual post.
The moderators do a great job that's thankless that makes the forums a great place for open debate. |

I'm surprised we get on as well as we do actually; given that the thing we have in common is a heightened set of sexual desires, rather than any working, regional, generational, or hobby overlap. There are huge variations in our lives, backgrounds, opinions and vanilla lives so clashes are inevitable. I think the socials undoubtedly help to bond us, but by and large we avoid the tearing splits and factionalism that some fab forums experience. |

"People can be banned from posting in the forums by a forum moderator.
However due to the amount of posts it's just easier for the thread to be shut down rather than troll through the individual posts and make an estimated guess on who's saying what about who.
Sometimes it's just not that clear who is being obusive or misbehaving in an individual thread so that's why there is the report option in each individual post.
The moderators do a great job that's thankless that makes the forums a great place for open debate."

I only asked a question. didn't actually think it would get this kind of reaction. if you don't like the question, don't answer to it. still every one is entitled to have a opinion. but i can see that the fun as gone and some guys can't handle being corrected lol. |

If you ask a question then anyone is entitled to respond, whether you like the answer or not, that's the point of questions, but for everyone to agree
We're all entitled to our opinions, and to express them as long as they're not offensive.
However, what would YOU like to see or do that might make the place "fun again"? |
