This suggests that North Wales doesn't need such a place because there is obviously no demand for one.

That's not entirely true.

Don't forget the maxim, Location, location, location!

It's in a fairly isolated place and away from a population centre, a good 45 miles from where I live, and the Townhouse has a lot more to offer me.

If it were marketed better, and in particular as a swingers B&B, I would have thought that there would be a good business model for it

It would been better if the oners had spent a bit of money on the place and organise diffrent things going on there

There is a demand for it in North Wales but unfortunately the swingers haven’t carried on the support it needs even tho they have had a swingers/bi/tv day on a Tuesday and Friday opening from 11am till midnight for over an year. I have been attending Pennant hall for over 10years and I will sadly miss it.

North Wales

Pennant was our first club and we went there fairly regularly over a year. It was a huge shame that they didn't make an effort to engage with the Fab community in the same way Townhouse does.

It always felt like a quiet country pub in that it was the same faces every time. That's a positive and a negative, really. Any time we mentioned to local fab folk that we went there, we'd get a scrunched up face back and be told about the horror stories they'd heard about pennant. If they had engaged with the fab community then they could have dispelled these rumours as well as attracting new visitors.

The number of posts on here asking if the club was still open and did anyone go showed how little advertising they did. It's a shame it's closed but it's not surprising.

Maybe if the owners had put some effort into the club it would be a different story! Very little in the way of maintenance was undertaken and nothing in the way of organising different events and theme nights etc. On top of that they put the prices up and then expect support from the local swinging community. Look at the successful clubs in the nw area, open most evenings and offer themed nights and parties etc and actively promote the events on fab etc. Also most of the other clubs don't charge as much as pennant for a couple.. It's not rocket science, it's closing due to the owners lack of effort and the blame lays solely with them. We agree its a real shame that we are losing the only club in north wales, it had so much potential to be a truly great club.

To be honest I agree with you the club was looking tired and needed maintaince, the women should have been free entry and tv’s should have stayed at half price. If I had the money I’d open a club seven days a week with B&B and different events and advertise it like mad everywhere I could find. Ideal place would be Conwy or Llandudno junction area.

Such a huge shame to hear the news about Pennant! It was our first ever visit to a club a few short years ago.

Is the building for sale or would the owners possibly be open to negotiating a lease?

With a community positive outlook and enthusiastic approach it has the potential to be a fantastic club! Xx

I think it’s got planning permission for two blocks of flats.

But don’t quote me on that.

I’m going tonight for my last visit I’ll be there roughly about 8:30pm

Yes you are right, just found the sale details and there is outline planning permission for it to be converted into apartments.

Very sad to see it go..!

I’ve been told it’s closing due to one of the two partners wants out for personnel reasons, it would remain open if they can find someone with £160000 to buy him out for a half share in the place.
