It was a clear red he totally upended Ben John when he had no hope of getting near the ball.
Very lucky he didn't break his fucking neck
He will get a ban aswell
Ospreys were diabolical and Scarlets throughly deserved the win |

Yes but that was not a red card, players chaseing the ball should also be taken responsible for there actions like a in the building trade it is called health and safety |

It was a red card that is why he was given a red card
It was a very dangerous challenge
Fortunately Ben John doesn't seem to have been seriously hurt
He took Bens legs in the air, in such a way caused him to land on his neck. Ben was nowhere near the ground and Steff was nowhere near the ball.

Have to admit by the letter of the law it was a red . A very clumsey attempt to challenge for the ball.but what made it look worse was the fact that he didn t keep his eye on the ball or player. Just lucky no serious injury was the result.
Have been on the receiving end of one of these tackles many years ago before the law was changed and it hits you for 6 . Much better to Waite wait till the player on the ground then bit hit him with the full force of a legal take it has an even better result as the next time a player jumps for the ball he is thinking more about getting hit when he lands than holding onto the ball |

"With today’s rules it was as clear cut a red card as you will ever see (not saying current law is right, of course).
It’s not 1983.
Scarlets fan btw."
The law is what it is for a reason
The way Ben landed could have resulted in a career ending or worse injury
He was fortunate
My children play rugby and if someone did that to one of them I'd be raging
Steff had no realistic chance of winning the ball
Clear red
If you don't like the rules OP it's tough

That bit in brackets is badly worded from me. I just meant, whatever you think about it, that is the laws of the game now.
Personally, I think it’s a good thing the lawmakers have improved safety in this situation area. I feel for players sometimes (more so around tackling that challenging for high balls), but it’s for the best, overall. |

"Ok,well why don't they make it that you have to stay standing to catch the wall or you can not challenge "
He didn't challenge for the ball though that is why he was given a red card
Steff went in 2nd, he had the responsibility and he had no realistic chance of getting the ball, and he upended Ben dangerously onto his neck
That is not at all the same as a fair, safe challenge for the ball in the air
Clearest red you'll see for a while |

If you think its not a red card your on a diffrent planet, steff evans clearly only put half an effort in to jumping for it, yes its rugby and the hard knocks come with it,
But question is.. if a bloke dumped you on your head neck on a night out you be screaming for the police to get him done on a gbh charge
Or are you just another one eye turk??
Scarlets deservedly won the game
Bloody cold place there too |
