what car? most opf the time its a resistor.
or the switch. it depends if its all electronic or manual switching.
i have repaired many switches over the years .

its always attached to the blower motor
usually under or behind the glovebox
the resistor allows different speeds for the fan. when the heater fan starts to go wrong it usually starts with some speeds not working then only working on full speed(no resistance)
on some renaults the wire to the motor burns out one renault i had the actual knob was melted and i just replaced the switch easy to do and cost £15 |
