Try the south. My French accent was accepted there as if I was a Parisian.
But yes, Brittany is Celtic, and much of the language is similar to Welsh. Not many speak it, but as an example, the Welsh for house is ty (my computer cant do the "roof", and the same word is house in Bretton. In French, of course, it is maison. SOme of the Bretton words have migrated into French. Think Window. |

Of course that doesn't help if you don't speak Welsh but the French are super tolerant of even my disgusting legion French so don't think you have to be perfect before you go. |
