Hey everyone!
I know a Mid-Wales social had been suggested before but as far as I can tell from my forum searches it didn't result in very much?
So I'm wondering if this would be a good idea?
I'm more than happy to arrange this if there is enough interest?
At the moment the most popular suggestions are Welshpool or Aberystwyth but I'm open to any other suggestions?
Feel free to drop me a message if you have any suggestions |

We always need well run socials, and good to get them out of the South
I think you might be better to go for Welshpool though....
Aberystwyth is two hours from anywhere, and you might get more people coming from the border regions
Good luck |

"Which area of "Mid" Wales are you thinking of tho, it covers a fair area, much of it extremely rural?
For geographical accuracy I don't suppose you could get better than Rhayader for instance?"
To be fair she did say either Aberystwyth or Welshpool
Though there's a lot of nothing in between |

"Well, Aber is about double the population of 'Pool, so if you are looking at numbers then that's about that.
Dunno how "NIMBY" the local swingers would be though."
They've only just allowed The Life of Brian, so, despite it being a uni town they might be a bit closed minded |

South Wales, in particular, must have one of the busiest social schedules in the UK
What's it like in Uttoxeter? |

Oh god, can just see it now, the locals get wind of it and take to the streets with pitchforks and flaming torches!
Oooo, I spot a new business opportunity, a "pop up" shop selling farm implements and ready-made torches, flaming, for the use of.*
(* Patents applied for, go get your own fucking Dragons Den idea goddammit!) |

I went to the races there once with a guy off here
I thought Welshpool would be more accessible than Aber?
Shit do you think the locals might not approve? Maybe I shouldn't make any posters after all

Knowing both towns well welshpool you may get more people from Wrexham, shrewsbury etc... but a better night and more entertainment would be found in Aber and if nice warm night beach to go for stroll |

Can't get more Mid than Rhayader - pretty accessible from South too. Anyone in Mid Wales knows distance isn't an issue - takes at least 30 mins to get anywhere! |
