Don't be afraid to approach people and start chatting. It can seem a bit daunting when new going to these things. While yes it might seem that people are in their little cliques this is because they've been frequenting the socials for a while and have groups of friends. Take the plunge and mingle, no one will bite.

We usually try to get one or two back to ours, but given that we are in a hotel near the M4 this time (teach us to book late!), we will be hoping for an invite to any "apres-social" shenanigans lol!
