Evening all  
Going to play this one fast and loose 
A bit of a magical mystery tour
I'm not going to be picking and choosing, limiting who's coming and what not.
BUT I'm ONLY going to pm those who want to come along to an informal social IF they message me on the Tuesday 1st or Wednesday 2nd.
It's going to be a bit like a Dutch Auction.
This way only those who know that they're wanting to come along, will come along 
Feel free to express your interest on the thread
And by messaging me direct will get around those pesky filters

Far from a moaner. Just not thought our very well... clearly.plus soon black mamba mentioned he try shut up shop. Haha. Hence the first comment. And no. I won't be going. I'd rather 1 on 1s. Easier set up. Know who you meeting. Plus don't drink |

Lads, if you're going to be picked hen that's okay, if not then that's okay too, no need to moan or put personal attacks on organisers(Ps no I haven't been picked..yet but who knows) either ways suck it up and quit moaning!!lol |

Guys, you aren't doing yourselves any favours attacking the organiser.
He has a proven track record of very successful, fun and interesting socials.
All he is doing is trying to keep it low- key, discreet, and not a cock-fest, seriously, would you just prefer it to be wall-to-wall blokes?
And remember, he doesn't have to do this, he takes time out of his own life to do this without reward, same as many other organisers, moaning will only flag you up as being a dick, is that what you want to be on people's radar as? |

OK let's all chill out a bit
I'm certainly not trying to bag all the ladies for myself (I just don't have that stamina) 
In any of these events it's all about trying to achieve a balance of people, so that we all can have an enjoyable evening
At the moment I have about 10 single guys, 6 single ladies, and 9 couples.
So that's more than 30 of us, if everyone makes it
It's in a public area of a pub, and we're going to dominate a large part of it.
For us all and the venue to be happy then we can't have too many people
I try and accommodate as many people as I can, but it is on a first come first served basis, and there are bound to be disappointments
In an attempt to reduce the number of non-showers I asked that everyone contact me on the Tuesday or Wednesday as you're more likely to know that you CAN make it
I try and be fair and open about all of this, and if you're not happy about it then I can only apologise |

As an organiser of bowling social evenings I can only echo what the OP has said...
It takes time and effort to get the balance right and even more so when you have to pay a deposit up front to secure lanes on a bowling alley.
Also knowing that a fair number will be a no show not offering any excuses...
So yes the OP has the right to pick and choose who can attend....
If you don't like it organise your own social...

Shame I can't make this one but having been to several in the past I'll say it's a thankless task well done, I usually attend as a single woman & its good to know that organisers like this take the time to ensure it's not a cock fest, that it's discreet & it's a group large enough to make the social fun, but not so small it gets boring. If it was a random free for all I'm not sure how many women or couple would feel comfy to attend X |

Having been to most of the Cardiff mid-week socials, the last thing Jack does is try to queue up all the women. He tries to keep a fairly blanced amount of couples, single females and single guys. Which is how the best socials and parties work
Also being the organiser, so it's down to him who can and cannot attend. If you think you can do better, why not organise one in your locality and see how it goes with a free invite to all and sundry? I know for a fact that you would be overun with "single" guys. |

Special thanks to the organiser of the event. I apologise I did not speak with everybody at the social, it was not intentional. I am sure we will meet again at some point. Tomorrow is a work day, had to get on my scooter and ride back home. It past my bed time already, I have been told x |
