Being publicly shamed for being overweight, good or bad?
Personally if it does anything to help people lose weight and stop the fat epidemic I see it as a good thing |

What a dreadful, hateful thing to say - you should be ashamed of yourself!

How can any form of shame be a good thing ?!?
This is probably the dumbest thing I've heard on fab and that's saying something, let people be happy with who they are.
Hope to see you on a social OP so we can all point out your insecurities |

Omg how insecitive can anyone get
If you've ever suffered a weight problem you'd never even think of this behaviour
Not everyone with a weight problem
Just sits around eating
Some have medical problems
Shame on you

I would never tell anyone they were too fat or too skinny if it risked them getting upset! Why would you want to go and hurt somebody's feelings? You sound pretty fucked up to me if you like making people feel sad and bad about themselves, spread the love.
I do however feel that skinny shaming is just as bad, i hate it when people think its ok to say im too thin or "hes to thin for me" etc. How is it any different to saying someone is too fat. |

The green arrow will tell you pretty much everything you need to know.
He/she/they are here to wind people up and it seems to have worked.
Just ignore and maybe he/she/they will get bored if no one bites. |

I like big butts and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist
And a round thing in your face
You get sprung, want to pull up tough
'Cause you notice that butt was stuffed
Deep in the jeans she's wearing
I'm hooked and I can't stop staring
Oh baby, I want to get wit'cha
And take your picture
My homeboys tried to warn me
But with that butt you got makes (me so horny)
Ooh, Rump-o'-smooth-skin
You say you want to get in my Benz?
Well, use me, use me
'Cause you ain't that average groupie
I've seen her dancin'
To hell with romancin'
She's sweat, wet,
Got it goin' like a turbo 'Vette
I'm tired of magazines
Sayin' flat butts are the thing
Take the average black man and ask him that
She gotta pack much back
So, fellas (Yeah) Fellas (Yeah)
Has your girlfriend got the butt? (Hell yeah)
Tell 'em to shake it (Shake it) Shake it (Shake it)
Shake that healthy butt
Baby got back |

"I have had people "shaming " me on fab for the way I look. It's the same as fat shaming, totally unacceptable "
A lot of people seem unable to express their preferences without being insulting
We all have our likes and dislikes but to try and shame those who don't meet or ideals is just fucking pathetic |

I was eating a kebab in the high street one night when a car drove past. Somebody shouted out of the window, 'Look ! There is a fat bloke eating a kebab' I would have thrown the kebab at the car but I was still hungry. |

"I'm fat.. Who cares. Not me
I don't know why people get offended by others life choices. "
They don't
They're insecure and uncomfortable with themselves in some way so insult and put others down in an attempt to make themselves look/feel better
Noone who is comfortable in their own skin feels the need to go around trying to shame others
It speaks volumes |

I'm fat, I know that, but I am happy in myself,
Way I see it, just more of me to love lol!
If people don't like the way I look that's up to them, if my appearance is of that much importance to them, I pitty them |

This place is so weird. There are either threads saying how much people love BBW's, statuses/profiles about how proud women are of their BBW bodies or threads about fat shaming....
If everyone is so happy with their bodies, then why does it matter? If you aren't happy, change it.
Body shaming happens at ANY size. It's not specific to BBW's.
There will always be people who criticise others, and those who sit on their white horses and think they are somehow above it all.
The fact that there's a label "BBW", makes it no better or worse than any other label...
I'd rather be fat, than be a twat. I can lose weight, a twat is a twat for life.

This is 100% true
I regularly get called a skinny bitch at work by a small few female colleagues who are over weight and choose to do nothing about it, which is fine and their choice and has no relevance to me whatsoever.
Yes it is part in jest and part downright jealousy because I chose to successfully do something about my weight, but they never called me names when I was overweight and I would never in a million years dream of walking in to my shift and saying "fucking look at you mun you fat bitch, it's not fair" which is what I get on the flip side.
I'm far from skinny, I am a healthy weight and fit as fuck compared to what I was 7 months ago, but it seems acceptable to call me whatever they like because of it whereas if someone was to refer to their size in a similar manner no doubt all hell would break loose.

Fuck.. sorry you feel like this.. I always say look at you you skinny bitch. I do very apologise and if you called me a fat bastid, I wouldn't be offended whatsoever as you kno, I am a fat bastid.
On another note, it depends how it's said. Eg.. my car is going awful slow with you fat bastids in the car hahahaha...
Or.. don't meet her, she's a fat c@&t.
I've experienced both. One made me chuckle, the other made me pity the other person for the deliberate malice
Anyway. I'm not bothered who my fatness pisses off. I'm alright you kno. |

I wasn't on about you you twat
You say it in mutual banter it's completely different
It doesn't offend me in the slightest even when they say it just that I can't imagine they would be too pleased if I came back with a fat jibe at them
