they can go in as a guest for the night and then won't have to pay joining fee. Then it'll be substantially less x

As a single male, first time it would be as a guest, that is there are not many single male the same night of course. The fee is about £45. If he behaves well that night (manners!), he could apply for a membership next time, about £110 in total.

He can call Chams as well or send an email for more detailed/uptodate information.
