I have read of two locations on this thread but have no idea where they are. Morfa and Skier (sp)beaches. Where are they and how much is there to be had?

The weather looks fair set and we would like to take advantage of it

Morfa is near Barmouth

Don't expect too much out of Morfa, too many meerkats puts a lot of couples off. It's still a great hang out place though. Make of it what you will.

I agree about the meerkats. I met a couple there last summer and they decided against having some fun in the dunes because there were lots of them about (didn't mean fun with me btw).

It's a lovely place to meet other nice folks though. Treat it as a place to relax and possibly chat to like-minded folk. I know people who've made connections they've followed up later.

It's a beautiful spot

Exactly, go to Morfa as it's a wonderful place and the ONLY beach in Wales where it's 100% legal to be a social nudist and/or naturist . . .

. . just remember that the beach, as well as the dunes, are still a PUBLIC place so sexual activity can be a criminal offence?

Be sensible and take care?

First visit to Morfa yesterday. Only action I saw was a guy being sucked off in the dunes. But what a setting. Glorious beach; just relaxing to be able to get a bit of colour on my white bits and no-one bothered about body image....

So, as I said above, we were there on Wednesday when it was very misty and Thursday when it was scorching hot.

We were able to take a good few pictures on the Wednesday when it was quiet and free of from the meerkats.

It was very noticeable how few couples were there on the Thursday compared to the vast numbers of men.

nothing to stop you to be honest. It's just a 10-15 min walk with all the stuff.

Sounds good, I can deal with the walk if there's a burger at the end of it

Yes, we have been earlier in the year too. It seems to get very warm. There is a high risk of burning your bum.

I go badly burnt there two summers ago.

Was so concerned about the old boy and me plums burning that other areas got neglected.

Not clever

Yep - I tend to think you need volunteers to rub the suntan cream into every spot.
