So hard to meet like minded people, when so many guys give us good ones a bad name!!

Hi to all that read this.

Hope your all having a nice holiday weekend?

I've been living just outside Carmarthen for a year or so now.

Recently come out of a 2 year relationship that was very intense and stressful.

Not knowing anyone from these parts and with me not being a local, it's so difficult to meet people that are into the same things as me.

As the subject title suggests, there seems to be a proportion of men on here that give us genuine ones a bad name.

I'm genuine, honest, down to earth and say things how they are.

So why is it so difficult to meet people?

Your thoughts on this would be appreciated

Try and get along to a social. Some require veris and some don't. They are a great way to put yourself out there and show people what a nice guy you are. Good luck

We've been to the Neath and Swansea lunch socials, also the Swansea and Newport evening socials. Everyone's always very welcoming and you'll always have a good laugh. Some lovely people out there to get to know.

Can't disagree with Mrs Chatty, would only add that your nice attitude won't go unnoticed for long from my experience a bit of common courtesy goes a long way and helps you stand out from the crowd, good luck!

This is not a go at the OP but

Oh moan moan moan moan "I can't get a meet" is all I seem to read on here as of late and it sometimes looked like posters have used the forum to stand out and say "look at me! I'm the poor single male who gets rebuffed every time I message" and apparently it's all the other single males fault on the site why he can't get a meet.

Patience, manners, and socials !

Don't worry about the rest. Worry about you and how you come across to others.

If you don't think that this is just a sec site you will get all the fun you want, and some good friends too.

However a moan was not my intention as explained.

I'm new to the area and simply asking peoples advice on how they have faired.

No alterer motives whatsoever.

As stated, it seems hard to speak to women on here because some men seem to spoil it for all the other decent ones.

That said, we are all entitled to our opinions.

I never used to get the "some men give the good guys a bad name thing" but after wasting the past year of my life on someone off here who ended up making me ill it has all but put me off men for life and I am wary as fuck of new people now and I used to fucking love meeting new guys. So I get it now

I do hope in time you will be able to overcome what has happened and not let whoever caused this to keep affecting you in this way.

The other way of looking at is that if, as a lot of people say, there's loads of blokes who are idiots on here, it makes the good guys who "get it" all the more alluring!

Ha ha you are so rite I've been at it since the 60s and nothing changes I've always treated lady's with respect they deserve all women have the rite to say no. I'm not the best looking but Pos the most respectful get to the socials there's one in Carmarthen coming up the neath one is this week if your into kink there's local munches the world is your oyster I love this life. Unfortunately there are a few idiots on here that do spoil it for us ... but I have been to 2 socials in the last 2 mths and have met some "FAB" ladies couples who are great ... so I suggest go onto Wales chat room (be polite) and then go to day social if you can ( don't need veries) and meet people you have chatted to ... only thing I did find is that I was told because I'm a straight single guy it will take time and just have to be patient ( from a single guy at a social) .. so get chatting in the room and take it from there ...hope this helps?
