Depends on which model of the car ? If you are going for a hatchback then merc gives more bang for the buck so to speak x
Saloon is tied for Audi a4 and BMW 320d both great x
Estate - BMW x the audi is good too x
SUV - BMW
All are great cars and you will be hard pressed to find much difference other than preference, like Audi and there four wheel drive system, why walk round in wellies if your only going to step in mud once a year, however BMW x-drive, why get boots when you need wellies lol there are pros and cons to both and only YOU know your needs x
But you also need to take into account practibilty x no point in buying a 40k if you are going to struggle paying for a service x if new xx not saying you will but something people overlook xx
Hope this helps x i know it seems like i left the merc out alot however there phenomenal machines just not the value for money in the long run the other two are xx but if your in a position where practically and cost isn't an issue merc should be near the top of your list xx

my personal choice would deff be a jag over all of them even an xtype as they have 10 times the style of any of the german or italian cars but then i have a shogun for practical reasons as when it snows i need 4X4 to get to and from home |

As a driver on the road I find Audi owners are(knobs, wankers, tit wanks , arshole, blah blah u gt the pic) and breath, BMW drivers are pretentious pricks , and merc drivers well classy in person but god are they slow on the roads |

We have owned two cars of each of these brands, Audi - A3 & A6 - one got nicked - so much for the immobilisers, the other blew an engine up! BMWs had a petrol & diesel one - the petrol went through 7 coil packs in the 2.5 years I had it, the other an efficient dynamics model couldn't be fitted with a tow bar - apparently the gearbox on the ED models can't take the stress of towing! Two Mercs, a C class diesel - in over 100,000 miles needed only consumable parts and a drive belt - still got me home just no power steering - and an SLK350, Supercar performance, refinement and reasonable running costs (apart from the almost £500/yr to tax it). So for us it has to be the Merc every time |

Depends what you want you look for in a car. Get something japanese/korean if you want to just get in it and drive it every day. They are easily the most reliable.
If its for the badge/look then what ever you like the most. Audi most reliable and best value for money in your list tho.
Owned them all, sold them all not worth hanging onto. |
