If you're outdoorsy then the world's your oyster 
Get over to Snowdonia and Blaenau Ffestiniog for Zip World and Bounce Below, for a slower pace take the steam train 
Portmeirion shouldn't be missed either.
Further afield ... take a day trip to Dublin 
Oh, I almost forgot ... castles !
