Thinking about a play area and a social area at one place?

I don't mean to be difficult but you're confusing me now, this, most recent post says play & social area, the one before that said a social gathering. Without clarity I'm sure we wouldn't be the only people put off x

Sorry to be confusing I meant to say if it was a social would people like an area that they could go off and play?

For someone like me it's actually not small stuff, I have a very different mindset for a social than I'd have for a play event. I find it hard to picture a general venue where both could happen tbh, unless it's a house party. But hey we're all different so I hope it's a success for those who attend X

My mum lives in that area, I could always ask to borrow her living room.

Very confusing it seems to have gone of at a tangent, perhaps you should tell people what is actually happening as their time is being wasted by uncertainty and the time is moving on.

Well people have shown interest but you stated the types of venues that you had in mind and obviously had not done any ground work yourself so hence criticism.

Surely you didn't expect a member to host it for you

But is it a social or a social/play. What will we be attending for starters? My answer depends on what it is

To the OP

I think what people are getting confused about is, that if you are on about getting a venue, i.e. Pub, private function room etc, normally and I state normally no playing is allowed in venues like this. It's just socials. Unless it's a swinger club or someone's home. As you are probably aware, we run the Newport Social and even though it's in a private venue, under no circumstances is any kind of playing allowed on the premises. The place could get shut down.

I understand where you are coming from the venue I had in place was a pub/ b&b which a very good friend of mine owns and runs he's gone abit dead with the work so me and him where talking about it and I mentioned I was on the look out for a venue which we thought provided that people wanted to they can use up stairs i.evthe b&b rooms for playing as he is thinking of closing down and i was trying to persuade him to turn it into a club or a swingers b&b/ hotel but TBH I'm not gunna bother now with Xmas coming up ect never mind happ Christmas everyone

Why are we not surprised by this ending? Deja vu. Not intending to have a go but this was posted prematurely & without thought, unfortunately there aren't many on the site who could have gleaned all of that with their mind reading skills.

Well if it was a friends pub and he is pulling the rug over the Christmas/New Year period (probably the best period on the Calendar) he was obviously wasting your time and needless to say that I am sorry about that.
