whats everyones take on meeting locals, we like a few but are weary of ones that are too close

Everyone feels differently. I HAVE met very local people.

My way of thinking is that surely they are not going to advertise the fact that they have seen you on here or met with you as they not going to shout from roof tops that they also swing.

We all like discretion don't we ?

So the other locals will surely feel the same HOPEFULLY lol

But don't be offended if they don't want to meet you because of the locality as like I said everyone has their own take on the situation.

It wouldnt bother me... I have no immediate family living in the area and no kids so there wouldnt really be any issue bumping into fabbers 'in real life' so to speak

Yup gotta be careful no doubts about that!!!-this is a major part in why personally very wary of going to social gatherings--but hey personal preference n all that lol

We're not local to the area so don't know that many people and also have no family around in this part of the world so happy to meet locally.

I'll two's this! - met someone local who blabbed I was on site and had people whistling, etc.. Bad experience so no longer meet locals.. Most of them are interbred anyway pmsl!
