Confusing Athletic with Large..

So, just had someone view my profile who not only stated they were Athletic in the profile info selection, but also stated in the 'write up' they were of Athletic build..
Then I saw the pics on display.. That is NOT athletic build.. That's large.. 
Does anyone else have this problem, and does anyone else agree that athletic build would be someone who looks after their body (ie, six pack, etc)?? |

Hammer throwers are athletic(an athlete) as are runners etc
Athletic is someone who is fit and has strong muscles and would'nt get out of breath after walking up stairs.
NOT someone who is just thin as some people seem to think. |

Seriously, it's is difficult to fit people in certain pigeon holes. You are obliviously a fit guy, I imagine its just as difficult for the ladies to categorise themselves to. |

Surely we should all say we are fabulous, because each to their own. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If we all liked the same it would be boring.
I totally see everyone's view points, that people should be more honest with their body type. Having no pictures makes it even more suspect. In our profile what you see is what you get. But the body type isn't everything.  |

The average size of a woman is size 16 according to the tinternet etc add an extra size for the fib =size 18.
But its all bollox as if a man has a 40 waist but 6ft 8' that would be average.
But If he was 4 ft 10" with a 40 waist he would be an umper loomper.
Pofiles are just advertising and adverts never stretch the truth do they ?

I can honestly say, I've never looked in the mirror and thought 'yep, looking mega athletic today, time to change my fab description' 
Seriously, it's not hard to differentiate between athletic and fat- if you need comparisons check out myself vs MrT!
It's not like it's subjective like 'curvy' (yes, I describe myself as curvy because there's not 'chunky' option!) which can be interpreted differently.

It's so subjective! We went with 'average' even tho steph's a size 10-12 and and I'm 5 11" with a 34" waist. We're not classically 'slim' nor are we athletically toned. 'curvy' can be applied to most types and 'fabulous' is just bonkers.
I think so long as you have some decent body shots as public pics, the body type category can be ignored |

Let us be philosophical.... We are three things. A) How we see ourselves.....B) How others see us....C) who / what we really are.....Lots of space for confusion there folks... Quite simply looks are indeed skin deep.I would be more interested in what goes on between a person's ears. |

Yes an inch is an inch but athletic is an adjective and from peoples use of it on their profiles it obviously means different things to different people  |

An Athletic person is physically strong and active. according to the online dictionaries .
But i will accept it also describes slightly overweight people who struggle to open a jam jar because other people use it |

Happy Weekend, people!
Here's the crack - most people BS about their weight, age, etc on this site.. It's because they're losers and can't pull any other way..
I do, however, think you can usually tell what size they are by looking at their pics, it's the ones that hide everything you need to look out for.. I also believe profile information should be more accurate, BUT even this won't stop the BS kinds.. It's a shame, but unfortunately these people exist..  |

So I searched this out as I thought there might be a semi recent thread about.
My latest gripe with the whole size issue is this... Guys and gals saying they like a certain type/size yet when desperation, sorry I mean "horniness" calls they will drop this type go for anything and everything.
You only have to look at verifications then and see that they're only showing veris that are total opposite to you.

So many people here are too obsessed with looks...."Big brother".."I'm a celebrity get me out of here"..Britains got talent,,,,along with the rest of the televised "celebrity" rubbish.. They all have alot to answer for in the manufacturing of this culture and obsession with image and attention seeking......Now it is possible to sit in front of a web camera in the comfort of our homes thinking we ..(some people.) have our very own tv channel...and be ,,,,,,,er....popular. |

. . . so very true and a sad appraisal of so many on this and other sites . . they pretend they live in a world of fantasy.
. . . and as for the OP's suggestion about "confusing athletic with large"? Perhaps he should put his supposed muscles up against an NFL Offensive Lineman? Exactly, a one way contest, yet these guys have some serious paunches and are often described as "The Big Lumps" by US commentators and are usually well over 6' in height and 150 kilos in weight.
Now . . name the woman that wouldn't like to experience that explosive power attached to a good erection. |
